Planning Information
The Planning Portal is the most important website to visit to get detailed and easy-to-understand information on both the Planning and Building Control processes.
This is a fantastic starting point to gaining an understanding how both work. There are some very helpful interactive guides including "Interactive House" which gives information on which Home Improvements or Extensions would need Planning Permission.
All Planning and Building Control applications are submitted through the Planning Portal which is a Government Portal linked to all Local Authorities.
Local Authorities
Local Authorities all have their own Planning and Building Regulations section on their websites with a wide source of information including Local Planning Requirements, Planning Policies and a Search Engine to enable applications in your area/your road to be found and reviewed. We deal with all Local Authorities and the links to the right are a selection of those to whom we have submitted Planning Applications.
Planning Aid England
Planning Aid England (PAE) is part of the Royal Town PIanning Institute (RTPI). Their work is built on the principle that everyone should have access to the planning system. PAE has been helping individuals and communities engage with the planning system for over fifty years and their services are guided by the following principles: Being clear and knowledgeable, Being volunteer-led, Being independent.
This is a highly recommended link for good quality Planning Advice.
